SAUROPODS ARE A GROUP OF SAURISCHIAN DINOSAURS THAT GREW TO IMMENSE SIZES. THEY ARE CHARACTERIZED BY THEIR LONG NECK AND TAIL, HAVING SMALL HEADS, WALKING ON FOUR LEGS AND A HERBIVOROUS DIET.

THESE SAUROPODS WERE THE LARGEST LAND ANIMALS THAT EVER LIVED AND OF COURSE THE LARGEST OF ALL DINOSAURS.

SAUROPODS LIVED DURING THE JURASSIC EPOCH AND CRETACEOUS PERIOD, 201 - 66 MILLION YEARS AGO.

SOME NOTABLE MEMBERS OF THIS GROUP OF DINOSAURS ARE CAMARASAURUS, DIPLODICUS AND SUPERSAURUS.
