Mammoth Wooly
This pristinely preserved “dwarf“ Woolly mammoth was found in the Siberian permafrost and is approximately 40.000 years old. fully grown, these giants reached sizes of 3.5m high and could weigh over 6 tons.
What makes this specimen so unusual is that it had a growth disorder likely due to extremely harsh living condition that it endured during its lifetime. It looks like a small juvenile mammoth but was actually a fully grown adult and was approximately 45 years old when it died.
Fossil Starfish
450 MYO - Morocco

Starfish are one of the oldest organisms known to man. This fossil is 450 million years old and found in Morocco.
Paleorhinus
238 MYO - Morocco

Paleorhinus (Greek: Old Nose) was an ancient crocodile like creature that could be found in what is now Morocco over 237 million years ago.

Recent studies have shown that Paleorhinus is a missing link between crocodiles and early bird-like archosaurs that eventually evolved into the dinosaurs we all know.

The fact that this is the only complete skull of a Paleorhinus in existence makes this fossil truly unique.
Fossil Fish

This slab of fish is a staggering 225 MYO and was found in Austria.

AMMOLITE

"Canada’s Iridescent Gemstone"

“Ammolite” is the name given to the colorful and wonderful Ammonite fossils found in Southern Alberta, Canada. Their shells underwent a unique fossilization process over 75 million years. Exposure to pressure, temperature and geographic location caused the shell to mineralize into a rainbow of iridescent colors. Since 1981 it is recognized as a gemstone by the CIBJO Colored Stones Commission.

These unique treasures can only be found in one location worldwide - in the famous Bear Paw Formation in the southwest region of Alberta. The specimens are mined on the Native American Black foot reservation, who themselves operate and oversee the excavation and production.

Buffalo Rock Mining has started a program which brings funding and education back to the reservation, where young Black Foot natives are specifically trained in the skill sets necessary to excavate and prepare these delicate gemstones and high quality grade fossils.

Together we have established a unique partnership, sourcing and trading the finest quality of ammolite specimens on the market.
